Coronavirus: Presidency orders Reps to submit themselves for screening

The Chief of Staff to President Buhari, Abba Kyari, has ordered the members of the House of Representatives who just returned to the country to report to the nearest Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) test centre with immediate effect.

He said the directive became necessary as many of them who refused to subject themselves for coronavirus screening exercise upon arrival from foreign trips posed great threats to the health of other members and Nigerians at large.

He said that the directive also became necessary following reports from the points of entries at the nation’s Airports to the office of the Honourable Minister of Health in the recent time that the Federal Lawmakers refused to subject themselves to the mandatory screening.
