“So when you look around you see the kids from the under-10 group running around playing. This is how we all started. We started from secondary school and at the end of the day, most of us made it internationally. So what I see today is encouraging and this not just in Rivers State alone, if you go to Abia and Imo they have a team like this, everybody is going back to the grassroots” he said.

Meanwhile coach of Rivers state u-14 side Collins Ifeanyi is optimistic the Rivers team can give the visiting states a good challenge.
