Barely 8 hours after the killing of two mobile police officers at Ojoto street in Diobu axis of Port Harcourt, Nigerian police in Rivers State have raided brothels in Diobu, arresting Sex Workers and their Male Clients.
The slain police officers were escorting a van carrying cash before they were attacked and killed.
Their rifles were also carted away by the gunmen.
The attacked van belonged to a liquor company owned by one Paddy Man.
Among the raided brothels in Diobu are Kool Breeze and others along Azikiwe Street.
Our correspondent, Lorine Emenike, reports that female sex workers and their male customers were arrested. The female sex workers who were half nude were bundled into the police Patrol vans.
The spokesperson for the Rivers state Police command, Nnamdi Omoni, who confirmed the raid, told our correspondent that the mass arrest around the area is part of crime control and preventive measures.
He said that the command will leave no stone unturned in its bid to arrest the cops killers.
