The National Coordinator of the Ken Saro-Wiwa Associates, Gani Topba has berated dissenting voices against plans by the Federal Government to build a mega filling station in Bori, the traditional headquarters of Ogoni land.
It will be recalled that since it became public that the Federal Government has concluded plans to establish a mega filling station in Bori, the project has received torrents of criticism from stakeholders including the Movement for the Survival Of Ogoni People, MOSOP.
Gani Topba, however, said the criticism is off the mark, adding that the project will turn around the economy of the area.
“We proposed to the Federal Government of Nigeria, especially the ministry of petroleum resources to build a mega filling station in Ogoni Land. Not just a mega filling station, we also proposed that they should build a jetty, a loading point for Petroleum products, which was approved.
