Nwakali netted brace in Maastricht win

Former Flying Eagles skipper Kelechi Nwakali is gradually recapturing his old form with his scintillating display for Dutch Eerste Divisie side MVV Maastricht.

The skilful midfielder netted brace for Maastricht as they returns to winning ways on Friday.

Maastricht defeated Jong fc Utrecht 3-1 with Kelechi Nwakali scoring in the 23rd and 48th minutes.

Attila Yildirim got Maastricht’s third goal on 89
minutes while Nick Venema was on the score
sheet for Jong FC Utrecht on 69 minutes.

Maastricht are 12th on 38 points in the 20-
team league table.
