Tinubu Orders Security Forces to Apprehend Perpetrators of Attack in Katsina State

Following the gruesome murder of some residents, including security forces, President Bola Tinubu has ordered the security forces to get to the root of the attack and apprehend the perpetrators, as he condemned the attack.

To this end, the state force spokesman confirmed in a Punch publication on Monday that the attack that occurred on Sunday, perpetrated by suspected terrorists, in Dutsin-Ma and Kankara Local Government Areas of Katsina State claimed the lives of 20 people, while four policemen and two members of the Community Watch Corps, also lost their lives.

“President Tinubu directs security agencies to go after the assailants and ensure that they are brought to justice.”

President Tinubu spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, stated in a statement released today that the president described the attack as “grisly and sinister.”

Responding to the heinous attack, the president highlighted that more safety precautions will be observed to avoid future losses carried out within the country.

“While describing the latest attacks as grisly and sinister, the President emphasizes that more will be done to secure citizens and completely degrade terrorists and other harbingers of death and sorrow in any part of the country.”

The president further expressed his sympathy to the various bereaved families affected and to the entire state. He asked that their souls find eternal rest.

“The President condoles with the families of the deceased, as well as the Government and people of Katsina State, and prays for the repose of the souls of the departed,” the statement disclosed.
