The Paramount ruler of Alesa community in Eleme local government area, His Royal Highness, Dr. Emperor Mkpe, has urged the people to be peaceful and accommodating to investors who are willing to develop the community.
Speaking through the Palace Administrative Secretary, Mr. Godwin Dibiah on Tuesday 17 March 2026, the traditional ruler noted that about eighty percent of landowners in an area acquired by an estate developer, the Mayor of Housing in the community have been attended to.
Mr. Didiah, while emphasizing that the Mayor of Housing has demonstrated good relationship by embarking on various programmes to unite the people, urged indigenes of the community to encourage every genuine effort geared towards transforming the area.
“Christmas celebrations has been holding in this community but as part of Mayor’s CSR, immediately the palace demonstrated interest that a football tournament should be organized last year, Mayor didn’t waste time to swing into action through the land committee and that tournament held.”
“That tournament helped to improve unity and togetherness in the community which also demonstrated a sense of purpose amongst the youths.”
Also speaking, the Chairman of Alesa Community Development Committee, Mr. Emmanuel Olaka, debunked insinuations that the Estate developer is a land grabber noting that the investor has contributed in various ways to enhance development in the community.
“If all the investors that are coming to Alesa to invest are doing what Mayor is doing, Alesa will develop faster. So my message to my people is let them be patient, let them be peaceful and let them support investors that are coming to develop here.”
“Let us keep sentiment aside and support the community to develop.”
Mr. Olaka assured that during his tenure as the Community Development Committee chairman, frantic efforts will be made to attract more investments into the community for the betterment of the people.
