According to reports, a video circulated shows a crowd of aggrieved youths surrounding the officials, shouting and attempting to confront them. In the confusion, the officials’ vehicle was tipped over, forcing them to leave the scene abruptly.
Voices captured in the footage reflect deep mistrust and fear among residents. One young man is heard accusing an officer of shooting him despite having no involvement in criminal activity. Others in the crowd shouted insults, demanding explanations for the alleged operations.
Community members say the incident highlights growing tension between residents and security operatives, with many calling for clarity on enforcement procedures and respect for citizens’ rights.
As of the time of filing this report, authorities had not released an official statement on the incident or confirmed whether the officers involved were affiliated with the NDLEA. Residents, however, say they hope the situation will prompt an investigation and restore calm to the community.
