The Chairman of Akuku-Toru Local Government Area of Rivers State, Hon. Aboiyaa Bob-Fubara has commended the participants of the All Progressive Congress local government delegate Congress for their conduct at the event which held on Monday, February 22, 2026, speaking to newsmen, Hon. Bob-Fubara said the peaceful, transparent, and orderly conduct of delegates drawn from the seventeen wards of the local government area resulted in the unanimous election of the three delegates and reflected party unity and internal cohesion.
According to the Akulga council boss, who joined other critical stakeholders to monitor the Elective Congress for the selection of three-man Adhoc Delegates, the adoption of the consensus option clearly demonstrated the maturity of party members and their collective resolve to avoid rancour and internal discord. He stressed that such unity is a strong indicator of the party’s preparedness for future electoral engagements
Hon. Bob-Fubara further stated that the Renewed Hope Family in Akulga remains fully committed to ensuring the renewal of the mandate of President Bola Tinubu in 2027, expressing confidence that the party is strategically positioned and politically stable.

The council chairman also commended the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Chief Nyesom Wike, for what he described as pragmatic leadership and political foresight, which he said contributed significantly to the emergence of APC chairmen across the Abuja Municipal Council Areas.
He added that the Minister’s visible developmental strides played a major role in strengthening the party’s electoral fortunes.Announcing the results, the LGA Congress Committee Chairman, Dr. Sokari Francis, applauded the delegates for their commitment to party discipline, which led to the successful emergence of the delegates.
Meanwhile, Hon. Isoboye B. Jack, Hon. Dr. Roland Sekibo, and Hon. Tokini Jack were unanimously elected as the three national delegates for Akuku-Toru Local Government Area, following the unopposed acceptance of their nominations during the congress.
The APC Elective Delegate Congress was witnessed by the APC Chairman in the LGA, Alabo Prince Obene; Vice Chairman Akulga , Mrs. Warigbani George; Secretary of Council, Hon. Awowari Amakiri; former APC Chairman, Necolas Morgan; the Leader of Akuku-Toru Legislative Assembly, Daye Bob-Manuel and several top political appointees and party leaders.Officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission, alongside security agencies, were also present to monitor the exercise.
