The government will not leave any stone unturned, and will do everything required by law under its authority and duties to make sure that those who are culpable will be brought to book.”

He further emphasised the importance of support from key stakeholders, particularly witnesses to the incident, adding that such cooperation would help speed up investigations and legal proceedings.

Meanwhile, the governor used the occasion to appreciate the people of Bayelsa State and all arms of government for the unity and cooperation displayed during the burial of the late former deputy governor, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, which took place last week in Ofoni.

He also expressed condolences to the families of two indigenes of the state who lost their lives in a fatal motor accident while travelling to attend the burial, describing the incident as deeply painful.
