Fubara Reaffirms Faith-Led Governance at RCCG Holy Ghost Rally

Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara on Sunday attended the 2026 Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Port Harcourt Holy Ghost Rally, where he reiterated that his administration’s strength rested on divine guidance in promoting peace and institutional growth.

Governor Fubara was represented by his deputy, Ngozi Odu, at the rally themed “All-Sufficient God”, which was held at the Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt.

Dignitaries at the event included the RCCG General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, and the Secretary to the State Government, Benibo Anabraba, among others.

The governor said that with God on their side, the challenges facing the state were surmountable and the future remained hopeful.

He described the rally as timely and reassuring, noting that its message drew strength from the assurance that God was more than sufficient to guide and protect all.

According to him, his administration viewed the theme of the programme as a spiritual roadmap for overcoming the state’s current challenges, stressing that its confidence lay in acknowledging a source of wisdom and provision beyond human limitations.

Mr Fubara commended the RCCG for its consistent prayers for the progress of Rivers State and highlighted the church’s practical contributions through its Christian Social Responsibility programmes.

He noted that such initiatives complemented government efforts, particularly specialised maternal care centres across several local government areas, skills acquisition centres, the Innovative Mind Hub, and a dedicated facility supporting individuals recovering from substance abuse.

In his sermon, Pastor Adeboye told the congregation that God possessed the power to repair and restore, adding that while human systems, including medical science, had clear limits, divine intervention often began where those limits ended.

The Port Harcourt Holy Ghost Rally has been held annually since 2015. The Regional Pastor, Adesoji Oni, said the programme continued to grow as a platform for spiritual renewal and community-focused social impact initiatives.
