The Bayelsa State Commissioner of Police, Daniel Iyamah, and the Commander of the Joint Task Force (JTF), South-South, Operation Delta Safe, Olugbenga Oladipo, have pledged to deepen collaboration among security agencies to strengthen safety and stability across the state.
The commitment was made when Mr Oladipo, accompanied by component commanders of the JTF, paid a courtesy visit to the Bayelsa Police Command as part of ongoing efforts to reinforce inter-agency cooperation and operational coordination.

Speaking during the visit, the JTF commander stressed that sustained collaboration, intelligence sharing and joint operations were critical to addressing the peculiar security challenges confronting Bayelsa, particularly in its riverine and coastal communities.
He noted that effective partnership among security outfits would enhance rapid response and improve crime prevention efforts, say News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
Mr Iyamah, while welcoming the delegation, reaffirmed the police command’s readiness to work closely with Operation Delta Safe and other security agencies to promote peace and public order in the state. He assured the JTF of the command’s full support in safeguarding lives and property.
The police commissioner also pledged to deploy the command’s technological resources to support joint operations aimed at curbing pipeline vandalism, crude oil theft and illegal oil refining activities that have continued to undermine economic and environmental security in the Niger Delta.
He emphasised that strong inter-agency cooperation remained central to effective security management, adding that the Bayelsa Police Command would continue to engage relevant stakeholders to strengthen the state’s security architecture.
