King-Elect Urges Collective Support to Sustain Peace in Opobo

His Majesty, King-Elect Charles Douglas MacPepple-Jaja, has called on the people of the Opobo Kingdom to unite and work together to maintain peace and ensure the continued growth of the kingdom.

Delivering his first official address to the public, the monarch-elect highlighted the crucial role of every citizen in fostering a stable and prosperous society.

He emphasised that the collective support of the community would be essential for achieving long-term development and harmony.

The address follows his formal presentation to the Opobo Council of Alapu, a key step in his ascension to the throne. During the speech, King-Elect MacPepple-Jaja reaffirmed his commitment to preserving the rich traditions and cultural heritage of the Opobo people while guiding the kingdom toward progress.

The monarch-elect concluded by urging citizens to embrace unity, cooperation, and active participation in the kingdom’s affairs.

He expressed confidence that with the support of the people, Opobo would continue to thrive and achieve new heights of excellence.

“I ask for your general support,” the king-elect said. “your wisdom of unending tolerance, part of understanding and loyalty to the constituted authority and institution as we embmark on this journey together.”
