NDDC MD to Receive Public Servant of The Year Award

Managing Director Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC Dr. Samuel Ogbuku has been selected for the award of Public Servant of the Year by New Telegraph publication for Development of Niger Delta Region.

Speaking at NDDC headquarters in Port Harcourt while receiving the award nomination letter, Dr. Ogbuku described it as a motivation to continue to fulfill the task by President Tinubu.

The MD promised that the commission would continue to embark on developmental programmes, as well as carrying out legacy projects in the region.

He revealed that about one thousand persons from the region would be trained for about six months on Compressed Natural Gass, CNG as part of youth development initiative of the commission.

“For us, this indicates we should do more. All these awards we have received put together,  we just got one last week, we are not just going to relax, they challenge us to do better. There are more works to be done. We are focused on the next chapter, and the next chapter is to ensure that most of the legacy projects we started will be completed before the end of this administration.”

Earlier on, Managing Director New Telegraph, Mr. Dele Aminu
 revealed that  NDDC Boss was chosen by the publishing company for his service to the people of Niger Delta and Nation at Large.

He noted that De. Ogbuku merited the award due to his accountability, youth empowerment and rural development.

Mr. Aminu who expressed satisfaction with the change of narrative at NDDC explained that the award would be presented next year.
