Rivers Police Rescue Five Kidnap Victims Unhurt in Midnight Operation

Rivers CP

The Rivers State Police Command has rescued five abducted residents in a coordinated midnight operation carried out at Rumudogo 2 Community in Emuoha Local Government Area.

The victims, Prince London, Azubuike Kelechukwu, Elizabeth Aniete, Onyebuchi Precious and London Sampson, were freed unhurt at about 1:00 a.m. on Thursday after being whisked away earlier by yet-to-be-identified cultists from their isolated homes.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer, Grace Iringe-Koko, the rescue followed a swift deployment of the Command’s Tactical Teams, working alongside sister security agencies and with support from the host community.

The victims have since been taken to a medical facility for examination.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Olugbenga Adepoju, praised the collaborative efforts that led to the successful operation and vowed to hunt down the fleeing suspects.

He warned that all individuals connected to the abduction would be arrested and made to face the full wrath of the law.

CP Adepoju also reassured residents of Emuoha and the wider state to go about their lawful activities without fear, emphasising that the safety of the public remains the Command’s top priority.
