The Rivers State Police Command has rescued five abducted residents in a coordinated midnight operation carried out at Rumudogo 2 Community in Emuoha Local Government Area.
The victims, Prince London, Azubuike Kelechukwu, Elizabeth Aniete, Onyebuchi Precious and London Sampson, were freed unhurt at about 1:00 a.m. on Thursday after being whisked away earlier by yet-to-be-identified cultists from their isolated homes.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, Grace Iringe-Koko, the rescue followed a swift deployment of the Command’s Tactical Teams, working alongside sister security agencies and with support from the host community.
The victims have since been taken to a medical facility for examination.
