Eric Chelle, the head coach of Nigeria’s men’s international team, Super Eagles, has unveiled his provisional list for the forthcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The Port City News (TCPN) gathered that the tournament is scheduled to kick off on 21 December in Morocco.
Chelle announced the squad in a statement posted on the team’s social media platforms on Tuesday.
The list includes names of players who played in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers and fresh names.
The list includes the likes of Victor Osimhen, Lookman Ademola, Tolu Arokodare, Victor Boniface, Samuel Chukwueze and others that’ll lead the attack.
Stanley Nwabali was named in goal alongside Maduka Okoye, and Francis Uzoho returned again, while the midfield is made up of the likes of Alex Iwobi, Wilfred Ndidi, Frank Onyeka and others.

Super Eagles will aim to lift the fourth title of the tournament that’ll end in January, 2026, having clinched the prestigious trophy on three separate occasions.
