Super Eagles And Afrobeats Stars Attends AFCON Diaspora Tour

Nigeria was fully represented as the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Diaspora Tour for the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Morocco 2025 got off to a successful start.

Super Eagles and Fulham midfielder, Alex Iwobi, and Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck represented Nigeria at the kickoff, CAF stated in a statement posted on its Facebook page on Friday.

According to CAF, Iwobi and Odumodublvck were joined by Ghanaian music icon Stonebwoy and former Arsenal Vice-Chairman David Dein at the event held in Piccadilly Circus, in the heart of London.

CAF added that the event is a two-city tour that will move to Paris next week.

Fans will also have an opportunity to meet the legends and see the TotalEnergies CAF AFCON Trophy at Piccadilly Circus.

Furthermore, CAF revealed that the next leg of the tour will be held between 3 and 4 December in Paris.

In Paris, according to CAF, the original AFCON Trophy will be presented on 3 December at Palais de Tokyo, Yoyo, for the opening ceremony.

CAF also said the trophy will return to Morocco on 4 December for the TotalEnergies AFCON 2025 Trophy Tour.

Odumodublvck, on Thursday night, was joined by Stonebwoy to give a special performance to a room full of international media, sponsors, and CAF partners.

The tour and other events are a tribute to the enduring connection that pulses through every match, every cheer, and every goal – honouring not only the iconic African players who have become titans on European soil, but also the continent they represent.

The tournament will kick off from 21 December to 18 January, with twenty-four national teams set to battle for the trophy.
