Mikel Is The Most Skillful Player In History – Roberto Carlos

Roberto Carlos da Silva Rocha has identified John Obi Mikel, former Super Eagles midfielder as the most skillful player in football history.

‎Mikel Obi’s fame first gained a widespread ascendancy, during the 2005 FIFA U-20 World Cup where his composure and creativity earned him the Silver Ball, second only to Lionel Messi, as he led Nigeria to the final.

‎He has a well decorated 11-year career at Chelsea, where he won various titles including two Premier League titles, four FA Cups, the UEFA Champions League, and the Europa League.

‎Again, the Obi One Podcast host was a key figure for the Super Eagles, winning the Africa Cup of Nations in 2013 and securing an Olympic bronze medal in 2016.

‎Former Brazilian international RobertonCarlos praised the Mikel Obi as an exceptionally intelligent midfielder whose technical prowess was often overlooked during his career.

‎The former Real Madrid, and iconic left-back made the statement while appearing on “The Obi One” podcast, where he was tasked with constructing his ideal footballer by combining attributes from various stars of the game.

‎When the 52-year old Brazilian was asked to assemble his perfect player, he first of all chose Kylian Mbappé for pace, Vinícius Júnior for finishing, and David Beckham for crossing ability.

‎The Roberto Carlos da Silva Rocha, also selected Cristiano Ronaldo’s first touch, Dunga’s leadership, and Ronaldo Nazário’s strength.

‎For the crucial attribute of skill, however, he unexpectedly named Mikel, highlighting his skills as a footballer.
