The Rivers State Police Command has debunked a viral social media video alleging that Fulani herdsmen launched an attack in the State and were repelled by Ijaw youths, describing the claim as entirely false, misleading, and aimed at inciting unnecessary panic.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Police Command said no such incident had occurred in any part of Rivers State. It noted that the fabricated narrative was the handiwork of mischief makers seeking to undermine the peace and stability currently enjoyed in the State.
