Former Alleged Cult Leader Reportedly Dies After Vigilante Torture in Rivers Community

A chilling video that emerged online on Wednesday, has sent shockwaves across Rivers State.

The footage obtained by TPCN shows a man known as Choroncho, alleged to be a former number one ranking member of the Vikings cult group in one of the state’s universities, bound with ropes and bleeding heavily as he endured severe torture.

The incident reportedly occurred around the Igbo Etche area, where local vigilante operatives allegedly apprehended him, accusing him of being in possession of firearms, a claim that Revelation Agent could not independently verify.

In the clip, the victim is seen helpless, with voices in the background urging others to bring in another suspect to sit beside him, though that moment is not visually captured.

Hours after the video went viral, disturbing photographs surfaced late Wednesday night, showing what appeared to be the lifeless body of the same individual.

Many observers now believe that the injuries inflicted during the torture may have led to his death.

As of the time this report was filed, the Rivers State Police Command had yet to issue a formal response to the incident.
