Ashimolowo Free Medical Outreach to Port Harcourt

The Kingsway International Christian Centre (KICC), through its humanitarian arm, Christ Compassion to the Rural World (CCRW), is set to deliver a major free medical outreach to residents of Port Harcourt.

Founder and Senior Pastor, Matthew Ashimolowo, announced the initiative during a media briefing in Lagos, themed “Port Harcourt, This is Selfless.” The outreach is scheduled to run from November 24 to 29, 2025.

Ashimolowo explained that the decision to hold this phase of the mission in Port Harcourt followed divine direction, in line with CCRW’s previous interventions in Ikorodu and Ibadan.

The outreach will feature a comprehensive range of services, including medical screenings, surgical procedures, distribution of relief materials, and gospel activities aimed at fostering both spiritual and social transformation.

According to him, CCRW has stocked its warehouses with medical equipment, surgical tools, and essential relief items to support the programme.

He noted that preliminary screenings ahead of the outreach have already attracted large numbers of residents seeking attention for cataracts, fibroids, and other common health conditions.

Ashimolowo emphasized that post-surgery care remains a top priority, with medical teams collaborating with partner hospitals to ensure patients receive proper recovery support, particularly in cases requiring extended monitoring.

He added that the outreach is designed to offer sustainable relief rather than short-term palliatives, stressing that Nigerians face systemic challenges, not personal failings.

He expressed appreciation to the Rivers State government for granting CCRW access to hospitals, health centres, and military facilities, which will aid the smooth execution of the intervention.
