Tacha Sets Two Guiness World Records

Congratulations are pouring in for Nigerian media personality and entrepreneur, Anita Natacha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, after she officially set two Guinness World Records for the most cosmetic makeovers completed in both eight hours and 24 hours.

The Port Harcourt-born star achieved the remarkable feat on October 11, 2023, during a live beauty marathon held in Lagos. She completed 82 individual makeovers in eight hours and an impressive 144 makeovers in 24 hours, breaking the previous record held by Sierra Leone’s Mary Yongai.

According to Guinness World Records, each makeover included foundation, concealer, blush, two eyeshadows, mascara, lip liner, gloss, finishing powder, and eyebrow work. Despite facing challenges such as power outages and heavy rainfall, Tacha and her team pushed through to complete the record attempt successfully.

Guinness World Records officially announced the confirmation on its social media pages, writing, “Congratulations to @Symply_Tacha who set two new Guinness World Record titles for the most cosmetic makeovers in eight hours and 24 hours.”

Following the announcement, fans, celebrities, and fellow creators have taken to social media to celebrate the Port Harcourt native for putting Nigeria on the global map once again.

Tacha expressed gratitude to her supporters, noting that the achievement was not just about breaking records but also about showcasing the determination, creativity, and excellence of Nigerian women.
