In a series of heartfelt reflections shared on social media, Honey commemorated her Passing Out Parade (POP) anniversary with photos of herself and fellow corps members in their signature white shirts and green trousers, smiling and embracing the moment. She described the experience as transformative, crediting her service year for introducing her to key opportunities and lifelong friendships.

“I never insisted on going to Hit FM Calabar,” she wrote, recalling how spontaneous decisions and supportive allies led her to red carpet gigs and media engagements that would later define her path. Her time in Calabar was not just about service, it was a launchpad into the world of broadcasting.

Honey’s journey took a pivotal turn when she joined GUN Radio Enugu and later Radiocast.ng, where she evolved from a student shadowing shows to a full-fledged radio host. In a post shared by Radiocast.ng, she expressed deep gratitude to her mentor DukeOfLife for opening the door to radio and nurturing her growth. “Without him, my life, my service year, everything would have been a mess,” she wrote. “They were all the angels God used by my side to help me have a good year of ambassadorship.”

Her story is one of resilience, faith, and purpose. A graduate of Godfrey Okoye University, Honey earned a second-class upper degree in Mass Communication in 2019. She candidly shared her early confusion and self-doubt, but credited divine favor and mentorship for guiding her toward clarity and confidence.

Now a recognized voice in Port Harcourt and Nigerian radio, Honey Ojukwu continues to inspire young women navigating their own paths in media and beyond. Her reflections serve as a reminder that service, when embraced with openness and courage, can lead to unexpected and extraordinary destinations.
