The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced that the orientation course for the 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream Two will commence on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, in all orientation camps nationwide.

This was disclosed in a statement posted on NYSC’s official social media pages on Wednesday.

According to NYSC, the registration for prospective corps members is scheduled to take place from Wednesday, September 24, to Friday, September 26.

The NYSC further stated that the official swearing-in ceremony will be held on Friday, September 26, while the closing ceremony is set for Tuesday, October 14, 2025.

The Director-General, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, extended his well-wishes to all prospective corps members.

Nafiu urged corps members to prioritise their safety and avoid night journeys while travelling to their respective camps.

Meanwhile, in another related development, it has commended the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) for corps members as part of its invaluable role in ensuring the seamless and credible process of the online registration of prospective corps.

Nafiu stated this in his goodwill message at the 2025 National Identity Day in Abuja and disclosed that NYSC, in its efforts, will ensure a consistently fraud-free mobilisation process.

The NYSC also entered into a partnership with NIMC to integrate the National Identification Number (NIN) into its registration process in 2024, adding that the move had recorded tremendous success.

Delving into details of the partnership, General Nafiu said that the NYSC linked up its database with NIN to ensure that every Prospective Corps Member is unique and verifiable, thus preventing multiple registrations by Prospective Corps Members.

Nafiu further said that the use of NIN had strengthened public trust in the NYSC mobilisation process by ensuring that only qualified Nigerian graduates are mobilised as stipulated by the NYSC Act.

“We have been able to curtail fraudulent enrolment and unqualified graduates from forcing their way into national service.

“The registration process, which was once a herculean process, especially for foreign-trained graduates, is now faster, cleaner, and more reliable”.
