Davido Reveals Why He Never Blocks Online Trolls

Internationally acclaimed Afrobeats sensation David Adeleke, known globally by his stage name Davido, has recently opened up about his unconventional approach to handling the pervasive issue of online negativity. Rather than retreating from the criticism that often accompanies fame, the award-winning artist and father of five has chosen a strategy of transparent defiance.

In a candid post on his official X account, Davido disclosed his deliberate choice to refrain from blocking the trolls and critics who target him with a persistent stream of negative commentary.

Davido stated that his reason is based on his confident desire to have his detractors bear witness to his ongoing journey.

The singer futher elaborated that to block these individuals would be to shield them from the very progress and success they aim to diminish. He believes in allowing them a front-row seat to his evolving career and personal milestones.

This, captured in his own words stated, “Me I no dey block, I wan make you dey see my doings, but I go curse your papa.”

Further clarifying his stance, Davido explained that while he has no inherent issue with people monitoring his movements and achievements, there is a distinct line that must not be crossed.

He emphasized that he maintains a zero-tolerance policy for deeply personal attacks. His approach is not one of passive acceptance; instead, he reserves the right to clap back forcefully at those who overstep, ensuring that his resilience is never mistaken for weakness.
