The National Directorate of Employment (NDE), is set to train 41,307 persons in over 30 different skills sets ranging from vocational, entrepreneurial, agricultural, ICT and activities in the public works sector.
The training which will be organized through the Second Phase of Renewed Hope Employment Initiative will accommodate a minimum of four persons drawn from the 8,809 electoral wards across the country to ensure inclusivity.
Performing the flag off of the Second Phase of the Renewed Hope Employment Initiative on Thursday 04-09-25 in Rivers State, The Director General of National Directorate of Employment, Mr. Silas Agara represented by the Rivers State Coordinator, Mr. Matthew Amala said that the economic policies of President Bola Tinubu’s administration emphasizes on economic growth, job creation, poverty alleviation and so far under the scheme, 32,692 unskilled and unemployed Nigerians have been trained in demand driven skills across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
Mr. Agara explained 14,457 beneficiaries are expected to be resettled with starter packs to help them establish themselves in their chosen fields and urged them to make every good use of this opportunity to better their lives.

The South South Zonal Director of Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, Mr. Lucky Obarein appreciated President Bola Tinubu for providing the opportunity for Nigerians to be trained in various skill sets.
The Rivers State Chairman of National Association of Small and Medium Scale Enterprises, Elder Dogala Sakpege urged the beneficiaries to maximize the opportunity given to them to better their lot.
Out of the Seven thousand applicants from Rivers State, One thousand beneficiaries were chosen for the Phase 2 training and they are expected to resume their training next week on 30 different skills across 46 training centers in Rivers state.
