Afrobeats star Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade popularly known as Mr Eazi has dismissed suggestions that he dropped new music to cover costs from his glamorous wedding to actress and fashion influencer Temi Otedola.

The speculation began after the singer announced the release of a new track on his official X handle(formerly Twitter). A user quickly reacted, hinting that the timing was tied to finances from the wedding. The comment read:

“Mr Eazi wan low-key raise money way him spend for that wedding”.

In his characteristic witty style, Mr Eazi wasted no time firing back. He replied: “U think sey music go fit pay for that wedding my G? lol.”

The singer further clarified that financial pressure has never dictated his music, noting that his career’s peak commercial run came at a time when he was far from wealthy.

“I was the poorest I’d ever been between 2017 and 2018, and that was when I had my biggest hit songs,” he revealed.

Mr Eazi and Temi Otedola, daughter of billionaire businessman Femi Otedola, tied the knot in a highly publicised ceremony that drew attention across social media. While the grandeur of the event sparked conversations about cost, the artist’s sharp retort shows he isn’t bothered by speculation.

Known for chart-toppers like Skin Tight and Leg Over, the Banku Music pioneer continues to juggle music with his growing business portfolio, insisting his artistry remains driven by creativity—not by money worries.
