Ibas Pledges Continued Support for Rivers Angels During Hospital Visit

Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas, the Sole Administrator of Rivers State, has reiterated his administration’s dedication to Rivers Angels Football Club.

This commitment was demonstrated during a visit yesterday to the hospital, where injured players Peace Effiong and Blessing Ifitezu are recovering. Both players recently underwent surgery at a private hospital in Port Harcourt.

Represented by Sir Emma Ndah JP, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Sports, Vice Admiral Ibas assured the players of the government’s ongoing support.

Ndah confirmed that the state government has settled its hospital bills and conveyed wishes for a swift recovery. He also expressed the government’s expectation that the team will continue to excel in the upcoming season.

Rivers Angels Football Club has consistently brought honor to the state, with a history of outstanding performance and commitment in women’s football.

Effiong and Ifitezu expressed their appreciation to the Rivers State government and vowed to return to the field with renewed strength.

The hospital visit was met with gratitude from both the players and the team’s management, who acknowledged the Sole Administrator’s generosity and support.
