17 New Dental Surgeons Inducted at UNIPORT

The University of Port Harcourt has added a new set of dental surgeons to the noble profession, as 17 graduates were officially inducted by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria.

The Registrar of the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria, Professor Fatima Kyari, who was represented by Dr. Mandaka Tijani at the event, charged the inductees to uphold the highest level of discipline while discharging their duties.

Dr. Tijani charged them to uphold professionalism and service to humanity even as they maintain excellent standards whenever they are called to serve.

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Port Harcourt, Professor Owunari Abraham Georgewill, also congratulated the new doctors and urged them to be exemplary ambassadors of the university while contributing to the advancement of oral healthcare in Nigeria and to the world.

The 17 Graduates of the University of Port Harcourt, Those who went through rigorous training and examinations were filled with joy as they were inducted into a field they spent quality hours preparing for.

The addition of the seventeen dentists comes at a time when there is high demand for them in the country, and the demand for these specialists is likely to rise as Nigeria’s population continues to expand.
