Ministry of Information Holds Sensitization on President Tinubu’s Economic Programs

One thousand five hundred students of the Rivers State University have applied for the National Education Loan Fund and ten local government areas have benefitted from the LIFE-ND program established under the Administration of President Bola Tinubu.

This was revealed at a one-day Sensitization Campaign organized by the Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation at the Federal Secretariat Port Harcourt.

The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mr. Mohammed Idris brought together stakeholders from the media, student groups and paramilitary agencies to x-ray the economic programs put together by the present administration to alleviate the plight of Nigerians.

The Minister who was represented by the Head of Information Centre, Port Harcourt, Mr. Gabriel Obokuru said the program aims at educating citizens on supporting government plans in states and local constituencies rather than antagonizing them.

The NELFund Coordinator at the Rivers State University, Professor Sunny Orike and the Rivers State Council Chairman of the Nigerian Union of Journalists, Comrade Paul Bazia noted that the economic policies are geared towards helping Nigerians economically and called for more Sensitization to ensure that those who are in need of these programs become aware of its existence in order to benefit from it.

Some beneficiaries of NELFund and LIFE-ND program shared how these economic policies have made their life easier.

Highlights of the program included question and answer session on various economic policies being implemented by President Bola Tinubu.
