“I Spent N60M on Kidney Treatment” – TG Omori Reveals

Nigerian music video director and cinematographer ThankGod Omori Jesam, widely known as TG Omori, has voiced his distress over the staggering cost of medical treatment he has incurred over the past six months. The acclaimed filmmaker, who previously disclosed his struggle with kidney disease, expressed shock at the exorbitant expenses tied to his health condition.

Omori revealed that the total amount spent on his medical care in the last half-year could purchase two Mercedes-Benz GLE SUVs and a C300 sedan, underscoring the financial burden of managing severe health issues.

In a heartfelt post, he wrote, “Saw my 6months health expenses, Omo 2 GLE and one small C300 bro! Health is wealth true true.”

Beyond his personal ordeal, the director extended his sympathy to average Nigerians grappling with similar medical challenges. He highlighted the dire disparity between the cost of essential treatments and the country’s minimum wage, which offers little relief to those in need.

“Dialysis is about 100k plus per session, sometimes you need 3 sessions in a week, minimum wage is 70k. Knowing this fact brought me tears in the hospital cause no hope for the common man,” he lamented.

In an effort to support others facing kidney-related ailments, Omori announced plans to launch his first major eyewear collection, with a portion of the proceeds earmarked to assist patients who cannot afford dialysis.

“I’m working on my first major glasses design that will be up on sale soon, where some of the proceeds will go to people living with Kidney Diseases that can’t afford to pay for their dialysis,” he shared.
