My Wife Was My First Investor — M.I Abaga

Nigerian rapper and music executive Jude Abaga, popularly known as M.I, has opened up about the unwavering support he receives from his wife, Eniola Mafe, describing her as “the most supportive person” in his life and career.

Speaking on a recent episode of the Outside The Box podcast, M.I shared that Eniola was the first person to donate when he began raising funds for his company, TASCK, a creative agency focused on social impact.

“My wife is the most supportive person. When I started trying to raise money for my company TASCK, she was the first person that gave me a cheque,” he said.

Beyond financial support, M.I revealed that Eniola plays an active role in his creative process, often filming his music clips, attending studio sessions, and joining him at shows and business meetings, all while managing her own professional career.

“She comes for the shows, she travels with me, she is with me in the studio, she is with me on designs. Sometimes, she comes to listen to me at meetings. And she has her own work o! But every free time she gets, she comes to me.”

He also praised her intellect and emotional insight, noting that she often provides thoughtful advice—even before he’s fully processed an issue.

“A lot of things I even tell her that I don’t need her advice because maybe I’ve not thought deeply about a particular issue, and she has already done a ten-page exposé.”

M.I’s heartfelt tribute has resonated with fans, many of whom praised the couple’s partnership and Eniola’s behind-the-scenes contributions to his success.
