NFF Praises Alao, Urges Sportswriters to Follow His Steps‎

The President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau, has commended Dr. Mumuni Aloa, Veteran Journalist and Managing Director of Complete Communications Limited, for his important work in improving sports journalism in Nigeria, and has encouraged other Nigerian sports writers to learn from his example.

‎This statement was made yesterday during the launch of Alao’s autobiography at the Tayo Aderinokun Hall, University of Lagos, Akoka, Lagos.

‎Gusau, who was represented at the event by the Chairman of the Nigeria National League, Mr. George Alao, described Alao as a top journalist whose smart thinking has helped him do well in his field.

‎Mumuni Alao is a well-known person in Nigerian journalism. He has made his mark in the profession by using his knowledge and intelligence to change how sports are reported in the country, and I am happy that he continues to follow the right standards in his work; his smart ideas keep helping the field grow.

‎”It is important for other journalists to look up to him because having people like him in sports reporting means Nigerian sports can keep getting better, and I hope to see more people like Mumuni Alao in the country’s sports journalism scene,” said the NFF President.

‎Gusau also used the chance to ask Nigerian journalists to work more closely with the football federation, saying this is important for the development of the nation’s football.

‎”I would like to use this opportunity to ask Nigerian journalists to partner with the football federation, as is done in other countries, to help make Nigerian football better.

‎They should helpfully give feedback, not take a negative approach in their reporting, as this won’t help anyone,” concluded Gusau.
