Nigeria’s elite para-powerlifting squad is preparing to fly to Santiago, Chile, for the World Para-Powerlifting Championships, which will take place from August 11 to 18.

Bukola Olopade, the Director General of the National Sports Commission, praised the athletes for their dedication during their training camp and motivated them to strive for victory.
Olopade told the athletes that the expectations of millions of Nigerians rest on their shoulders. Olopade charged them to compete with focus, discipline, and fighting spirit that has made Nigeria a powerhouse in this sport.
