Society of Energy Editors pays courtesy visit to Rivers Sole Administrator

Rivers State Sole Administrator, Retired Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas, has commended the Society of Energy Editors (SEEs) for their proposal to designate Port Harcourt as Nigeria’s Premier Energy City, and ensure the reinstatement of the city’s membership in the World Energy Cities Partnership.

Retired Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas, who gave this commendation at government house in Port Harcourt, noted that their proposal is in line with his administration’s commitment to rebrand Rivers State, elevate Port Harcourt as an international energy hub, and unlock new frontiers for global investment, knowledge exchange and socio-economic transformation.

The Rivers Sole Administrator stated that he is working assiduously to ensure that the state has an enabling environment for investment and innovation, in alignment with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

Retired Vice Admiral Ibok-ete Ibas further called on private sector partners utilise the vast opportunities and invest in Port Harcourt which he noted has the potential to lead Africa’s energy future.
