Inter Milan is reportedly making preparations to present an offer of €46 million along with a young player to persuade Atalanta to transfer Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman.
As per the report from Corriere dello Sport on Tuesday evening, Lookman has departed from Bergamo, with Inter set to submit the €46m offer imminently.
”The situation has deteriorated irreparably, and after two days of failing to attend training as scheduled, he appears to be taking further steps to demonstrate that his time with Atalanta is over,” the report stated.
Ivan Zazzaroni, the editor of Corriere dello Sport, noted that Lookman has left the city of Bergamo, and currently, no one knows his whereabouts except for his agent.
This predicament has compelled Atalanta to engage directly with the representative of the Super Eagles forward, as they are unable to communicate with the player himself due to his strike.
Football Italia reported that there was a long-anticipated meeting between the two clubs to negotiate terms and explore the possibility of reaching an agreement.

”A new written proposal was submitted after the initial €40m offer was turned down, this time amounting to €42m plus €3m in bonuses.
”As anticipated, this offer was also deemed inadequate and subsequently rejected. We have consistently stated throughout this process that the asking price is €50m, although Atalanta would be willing to accept €45m plus €5m in additional payments.”
It remains uncertain whether Inter will present an enhanced bid for Lookman, who has already filed a transfer request with Atalanta.
