Analyst Condemns Badenoch for Remarks Against Nigeria

A public affairs analyst has criticised the Nigerian-born British government official, Miss Kemi Badenoch, for her derogatory remark against Nigeria.

Mr. Andrew Ajayi, who said this in an interview with journalists in Port Harcourt, described Miss Badenoch’s comment as unfortunate and irresponsible.

Mr. Ajayi acknowledged that the nation is battling the issue of corruption and leadership problems, which are common to other nations. He expressed hope that the country would survive the numerous challenges confronting it.

Although Mr. Ajayi stated that Miss Badenoch has the freedom of expression, he condemned her destructive criticism and advised her to proffer solutions to tackle the ills instead.

“What is even wrong if Kemi Badenoch has some good initiative and partners with the Nigerian government or sets up a foundation here to correct what she thinks is not right in Nigeria?” he stressed.

He noted that the Nigerian government should call Miss Badenoch to order to prevent her from further de-marketing the nation.

“I think the Nigerian government should formally write a letter to her to caution her in all ramifications, if not, she should even be told that Nigeria can come down to England there and extradite her back to Nigeria because of the way she is talking”, he concluded.

The social commentator warned that if she does not desist, repercussions would visit her.
