Members of Actors Guild Called to Enhance Professionalism in Movie Industry

Stakeholders in the creative industry have been urged to upgrade their skills to be relevant in the contemporary era.

A movie producer, Mr. Kezzy Favour gave the advice during the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Rivers State Chapter monthly congress at Jay Queens Hotel, Port Harcourt.

Mr. Favour who is also a film director underscored the importance of training in the movie industry stated that having the required knowledge would go a long way to equip an individual in Nollywood to face the challenges in the competitive environment.

“Acting is very lucrative, acting is the lucrative aspect of film making. Actors honour directors, producers, and other but they make the money. But the main things is getting yourself prepared, an actor gets prepared by training and retraining”, he explained.

Earlier in the event, the chairman of AGN Rivers State chapter, Dr. Ken Osunwa promised that he would make the chapter economically viable by monetizing its social media platforms.

“I want to leave something vibrant for the next regime after mine. What we want to do now is to set up vibrant social media platforms for socio- economic development of the guide,” he stressed.

The AGN chairman in Rivers State encouraged members of the guild to utilize all the opportunities available in the industry for human capital development.
