Rose Idibia’s Presence at 2Baba’s Traditional Wedding Stirs Reaction

Legendary Nigerian singer Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has once again captured public attention following his traditional wedding to Edo State lawmaker, Natasha Osawaru. The ceremony, which was kept low-key, was reportedly attended by a few close family members, including the singer’s mother, Mrs. Rose Idibia.

‎Photos and videos from the private event recently surfaced online, triggering widespread reactions—particularly due to the presence of Mrs. Idibia, who had earlier expressed strong reservations about her son’s relationship with Natasha.

‎In a previously circulated video shared by 2Baba’s younger brother, Charles Idibia, Mrs. Idibia was heard voicing concerns about the singer’s mental state. “My son is going through a divorce process and he’s clearly not in his right senses now. I know my son—this is not him,” she said.

‎Her appearance at the traditional wedding has since become a major talking point on social media, with netizens expressing mixed feelings. While some viewed her presence as a sign of familial support and reconciliation, others questioned the turnaround, given her earlier public outcry.

‎As online users continue to debate the development, neither 2Baba nor Natasha has publicly commented on the ceremony or the reactions trailing it. The wedding adds a fresh twist to the ongoing narrative around the singer’s personal life and marital decisions.
