The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced that a new round of nationwide voter registration will commence on August 18, 2025.

In an update shared via its official X account on Friday, INEC specified that the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) process will be conducted in two phases.
The initial phase will allow citizens to pre-register online, starting August 18, via the official portal, cvr.inecnigeria.org

The second phase, which involves in-person registration, is scheduled to begin a week later on August 25.
