Super Falcons’ WAFCON Victory Parade to Hit Abuja Streets

According to a recent report, it is asserted that the FCT and its surrounding regions will be treated to a stunning view of Nigeria’s greenery as they witness the WAFCON trophy, the most esteemed accolade in African women’s football, upon the return of the Nigerian women’s team to Nigeria on Monday.

The report suggests that the female champions of Africa are expected to land at Abuja International Airport (Nnamdi Azikiwe) around noon on Monday.

Furthermore, the report highlights that the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is making arrangements for the Champions to proceed to the Presidential Villa in an open-roof bus, traversing densely populated areas to enable spectators to glimpse the iconic trophy.

“We are organizing a Trophy match featuring the players and their coaches in a bus without a roof,” says Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, Nigerian Football Federation General Secretary.

“The route will encompass Airport Road, Berger junction, Maitama, and Wuse Market, ultimately leading to the Presidential Villa. This will afford many individuals in those areas a unique opportunity to view the Women’s AFCON trophy,” he further stated.

The Super Falcons secured a historic 10th Women’s AFCON title on Saturday night, triumphing over hosts Morocco with an exhilarating 3-2 victory at Rabat’s Stade Olympique.

The report claimed that the President Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR), is poised to greet the team at the Presidential Villa on Monday afternoon.
