Popular Nigerian TV personality Anita Natasha Akide, better known as Tacha, has revealed her growing interest in entering the political arena. The former Big Brother Naija contestant, who hails from Port Harcourt, Rivers State, voiced her concerns about the state’s underdeveloped potential during a recent interview with media personality Ebuka.
Tacha expressed frustration over the lack of progress in Rivers State compared to other major regions like Abuja and Lagos. She emphasized the abundance of untapped talent and opportunities in her home state, criticizing the government for failing to harness these resources effectively.

“When I look at other states like Abuja and Lagos, and I see how far they’ve come, and with the potential Rivers State has, they’re not trying to exploit it. It’s just very disappointing because there are so many youths, so many talents there, so many things that if the government can see light into, a lot can happen,” she stated.
The media personality stressed the importance of active participation in governance, arguing that real change comes from engagement rather than mere criticism from the sidelines.
When questioned about her own political aspirations, Tacha hinted at ongoing preparations, noting that she would disclose more details once her plans were further developed.
“It is something I’m working on. I’ll have to make it 70% done before I can talk about it, because it does not make sense granting interviews like this, talking about the government without being involved,” she explained.
