The management of Rivers State University Teaching Hospital has expressed their excitement over the emergence of the Chief Medical Director, Prof. Chizindu Alikor, as the President of the Nigerian Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging (NSNMMI).
This was contained in a post shared on their social media page on Sunday, where they disclosed how proud the management has become upon hearing about his achievements.
While sharing Prof. Alikor’s role as the President of NSNMMI, the management described his achievements as a trailblazer in Cardiovascular and Nuclear Medicine, where he has shown exceptional leadership and vision in advancing medical science and healthcare delivery in Nigeria.
“His emergence as President marks a significant milestone not just for the Society, but for the entire landscape of medical imaging and precision medicine in West Africa,” the report noted.

His role includes strengthening capacity in nuclear medicine and molecular imaging, driving innovations in diagnostics and patient care, and promoting collaboration across research, clinical practice, and policy.
