“You Must Play in EPL To Remain In Limelight”, -Oliseh Urges Super Eagles Striker

According to the report, it is stated that former Nigerian international Sunday Oliseh has provided crucial advice to Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen, emphasising the necessity of playing in the English Premier League (EPL) if he aims to sustain his status in the football world.

The Galatasaray star has become a highly coveted transfer target for various clubs throughout Europe, as well as those in the Saudi Football League, following his outstanding performances in the Turkish league. As one of the prominent figures in Nigerian football, Osimhen’s potential departure from Turkey has attracted significant attention.

The report indicates that during an engaging discussion with Lagos Talks, Oliseh, who previously served as head coach of the Super Eagles, praised Osimhen’s impact on Nigerian football. He stated, “I believe that he (Osimhen) is a tremendous asset to Nigerian football. However, like any top asset, he comes with his own set of challenges. It is imperative that we identify these shortcomings and find pathways to improve and adapt.”

Oliseh further elaborated on the topic, saying, “If Osimhen truly wants to stay in the spotlight and advance his career, he must seriously contemplate a move to the Premier League. The fans back home wish to see him excel on such a prestigious platform. He has been consistently linked with elite clubs like Arsenal and Chelsea, and for valid reasons.”

He also suggested that, while Osimhen undoubtedly possesses talent, there are several aspects he needs to address to enhance his game. “To realise his potential and reach greater heights in his career, there are numerous areas in which he must develop. Embracing the challenges of the Premier League could offer him the opportunity to display his skills on a global stage.
