In a move to strengthen grassroots governance and enhance service delivery across key sectors, the Administrator and Mayor of Port Harcourt City Local Government Area, Dr. Samuel Kalagbor, has reconstituted and appointed 1217 persons into various strategic committees within the Local Government Area.
In a statement released by the Mayor’s office, the appointments took effect from Friday, 20th June, 2025 and cover a wide array of essential service points and administrative zones, with a focus on market management, sanitation, revenue generation and urban renewal.
According to the statement, Dr. Kalagbor while admonishing the newly reconstituted committees to function with integrity, diligence, and commitment to public service, urged all appointees to approach their responsibilities with a sense of duty and patriotism, even as the administration continues to implement policies aimed at maintaining order, boosting local revenue, and promoting environmental and market hygiene across the city.
