The Chief Security Officer (CSO) of Ahoada East Local Government Area, Mr. Hector Ekeakita, has denied allegations of masterminding a violent attack on the Administrator, Mr. Goodluck Iheanacho. The Rivers State Police Command had accused Ekeakita of mobilizing hoodlums to attack Iheanacho.
In an audio message, Ekeakita claimed the incident involved youths who visited Iheanacho to express concerns over the council’s management, particularly sanitation, security, and alleged underpayment of political appointees.

He stated he was not present during the incident and urged the police to investigate the matter thoroughly. Ekeakita also called on the Commissioner of Police to clear his name and requested that the police and EFCC investigate alleged financial misappropriation by the LGA Administrator.
A video surfaced online showing Iheanacho being beaten by unidentified individuals, allegedly to sign his resignation letter. The police had urged Ekeakita to report himself for questioning, but he maintained his innocence, stating, “I did not carry hoodlums to attack Goodluck Iheanacho.” The situation remains under investigation.
