Coach Chelle Adjust Super Eagles Squad for Russia Match

The coach of the Senior National Team of Nigeria Eric Chelle has made slight alterations to the squad of the team ahead of the friendly match against Russia on the 6th of June,

Super Eagles of Nigeria have been in Britain for the past week where they won the Unity Cup neighborly competition with a 2-1 win over Ghana, taken after by a 5-4 penalty kick win over Jamaica recently within the last after drawing 2-2 in direction time.

In a night filled with fervor, dramatization, and footballing energy, Nigeria’s Super Falcons held their Unity Cup title after edging past Jamaica’s Reggae Boyz 5–4 on punishments.

Both sides had combat to a 2–2 draw in control time at the Gtech Community Stadium in Brentford, West London, on Saturday recently the Super Hawks scratched the following punishment shootout.

It was a throbbing experience that superbly captured the soul and reason of the Unity Cup a competition established to advance social trade, companionship, and unity among different communities within the United Kingdom through sport.

The final game of the competition, played before a dynamic swarm decked in Nigeria’s green-and-white and Jamaica’s yellow-and-black, lived up to its charging as a clash of footballing heavyweights.

However, according to report from Nigerian Football Federation, it is claimed that the team will travel to Russia for another friendly match, which the head coach drew up a squad list with a few players who were not within the squad for the Unity Cup.

The report has it that the list has been altered with the addition of three players Saviour Isaac, Ismaila Sodiq and Sikiru Alimi. Bar Saviour the other two played at the Unity Cup with Sodiq playing the aggregate of both games.
