Federal Workers Set to Storm AGF Office Monday Over Unpaid N175k Wage Awards—Mass Protest Looms

The Federal Workers Forum (FWF) has announced plans to stage a mass protest at the Federal Ministry of Finance in Abuja on May 26, 2025, over the government’s failure to pay outstanding wage awards and other entitlements.

The group expressed frustration and disappointment with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, citing repressive and suppressive treatment of federal workers.

The FWF is demanding immediate payment of the 175,000 naira wage award, full implementation of the new national minimum wage, and payment of other arrears, including peculiar allowance, promotion arrears, and hazard allowance.

If their demands are not met, the group threatens to resume protests in all federal government secretariats nationwide indefinitely.
