NFF President Gusau Elected WAFU B President

Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau, the President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), has been elected as the new President of the West African Football Union (WAFU) Zone B. The announcement, made on May 22, has been met with widespread congratulations from stakeholders across Nigerian football, including prominent Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) club, Rivers United.

Gusau’s ascension to the WAFU B presidency places him at the helm of football development and administration within a crucial West African sub-region, encompassing nations such as Ghana, Côte d’Ivoire, Benin, Togo, Niger, Burkina Faso, and Nigeria.

His new role is expected to foster greater collaboration and elevate the standard of football across these member associations. Rivers United, a leading club from Nigeria’s domestic league, was quick to extend its felicitations.
