43-Year-Old Lady Arrested in Rivers for Allegedly Chopping Off Male Lover’s Penis

A 43-year-old woman identified simply as Gift has been arrested by operatives of the Nkpolu Police Division in Diobu, Port Harcourt, for allegedly biting off the cap of her male lover’s penis during a violent altercation on Thursday, May 15, 2025.

The incident occurred at Bishop Okoye Street, Mile 3 Diobu area of Port Harcourt.

According to eyewitnesses and police sources, the dispute began when Gift’s lover, identified as Mr. Sunday, reportedly demanded sex.

Gift, however, refused, alleging that Sunday habitually used sex-enhancing drugs which caused prolonged intercourse, making her uncomfortable.

Sources revealed that the disagreement escalated into physical violence when Sunday allegedly began to assault Gift for denying him sex.

In retaliation, Gift is said to have bitten off the tip of his penis during the scuffle.

Neighbours were alerted by Sunday’s loud screams and rushed to the scene. Reports indicate that a mob quickly gathered and attempted to lynch the woman, but she was rescued by officers from Nkpolu Police Division led by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO).

Mr. Sunday was immediately taken to an undisclosed hospital where he is currently receiving medical attention. It was confirmed that the cap of his penis was completely severed.

Confirming the incident, the Public Relations Officer of the Rivers State Police Command, SP Grace Iringe-Koko, stated, “Yes, I can confirm the incident. The woman, aged 43, has been arrested. Investigation is ongoing.”

The case has since drawn public attention and sparked conversations around domestic violence, consent, and the consequences of unresolved relationship disputes.
